Praa Sands (West)
Cornwall, TR20 9TG, Lat/Long 50.1N 5.4W
Popular with surfers when there's a good swell and northerly winds. A mile long sandy beach with some rocky patches. The eastern end has many rocks and pools. The western end has fewer rocks and this is where all the amenities can be found.
- There are five farms in the catchment. During and after periods of heavy rainfall, runoff to the Germoe Stream from agricultural areas is greatly increased, and the quality of the bathing water may be reduced
- This bathing water is not affected by South West Water overflows
- Bathing water quality can be affected by other factors including urban drainage.

Facilities include cafe/restaurant, toilets (including disabled), first aid post, shops, campsite, caravan park, pub.
