My name is Scott Ackland.
I am an Instrumental Control Automation/Electrical apprentice in Tech Services, Barnstaple. I started my apprenticeship last October and have been enjoying getting up in the morning ever since. My work is varied as I am often moving from site to site and there are constantly new things to learn.
I am Martha-Jo Dare.
I'm an Instrumental Control Automation apprentice. We help to repair and replace the control equipment on both fresh and waste water sites. I work in the Totnes area and so far my favourite job has involved learning from the experienced fitters at work. I travelled a lot before starting my course and used to work as a door-to-door sales person.
Hi, my name is Nathan,
I am an apprentice working within the Information Services department. I have come out of Exeter College completing a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT and joined South West Water last September. This is the first job I have had.
As an Information Services apprentice I move round the different teams in the department every three months.
Hi I'm Kerenza Teague.
I'm an apprentice for Employee Development (ED) at South West Water. I supply regular admin support to all areas of my team. I also run projects such as the social media project and Pennon Photography competition. I was originally planning to do a HND in Computing at Exeter College, but I decided at the last minute to search for an apprenticeship at South West Water, because I wanted to get out of full-time education and get into full-time work. When I complete my apprenticeship, I would like to find a permanent position within South West Water, and do a Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship.
My name is Emily Stephenson.
I am a digital media apprentice within the Communications team. I have worked for South West Water since October 2014. My career goal is to progress in what I am already doing whether that is within the company or elsewhere. I love fashion and lifestyle blogs and aspire to start my own.
I'm Brett Walter.
I'm 20, I came to South West Water as an apprentice after deciding I didn't really want to go to university. I did maths, physics and computer programming in college and was accepted into the University of West England to do computer programming and software development. I am in the financial development programme, where we rotate between various departments in Finance. I am currently in Central Finance, and my tasks include creating journals for our general accounts, dealing with VAT returns and working with our subsidiary business, Pen Leasing. I enjoy spending my free time going on motorcycle rides, driving, mountain biking and hiking.
