The Technical Performance Team provides technical governance and support for capital investment design and delivery in Engineering together with specialist support for the wider business, particularly Operations, in the maintenance of our assets for the delivery of water and waste water services to our customers.
The team sets technical standards, procedures and policies, reviews technical competence of suppliers, reviews designs, monitors compliance with standards during construction and commissioning and provides expert input to resolve operational problems with plant and equipment.
The team also reviews industry developments and innovations, represents SWW on national working groups and influences national policies on technical matters.
Environmental issues are addressed through liaison with environmental regulators at national and local level.
Continuous improvement is promoted through management of the Engineering Knowledge Base, a database that collects learning points from capital delivery activities.
We cover investment and development planning as well as providing technical advice on equipment specifications, treatment processes, environmental management, strategic issues and scientific support for consenting.
We also have a team of Commission Engineers to support the delivery of capital investment projects involving process equipment, automation systems and process controls.
The work carried out by our relatively small team can be very challenging and diverse but is ultimately extremely rewarding. If you like each day to be different, you'd enjoy working with us.
