Water Resources Management Plan
Each water company is required to prepare and deliver a Water Resources Management Plan in accordance with guidelines agreed with the Environment Agency. The Plan sets out how we will maintain a balance between the supply and the demand for water over the next 25 years while ensuring the environment is protected.
Every five years, in accordance with the statutory timetable, we review and update our Water Resources Management Plan. In June 2014 we published our updated Water Resources Management Plan. This followed a period of public consultation on our draft Plan (published March 2013). The updated Plan can be downloaded on the right.
The Plan includes data on climate change, metering policy, leakage, water conservation and many other areas relevant to the provision of adequate supplies of wholesome drinking water. We believe that we are unlikely to have a supply demand deficit in any of our water resource zones within the planning period to 2039/40. No information has been excluded from this Plan on the grounds of national security or commercial confidentiality.
