A combination of sand and shingle, this beach lies next to the Exe estuary and attracts streams of tourists to its open grassland and red cliffs. Situated on the South West Coast Path, there are plenty of guided walks on offer around the nature reserve.

Holder of a Blue Flag Award for the past five years, the beach offers a safe, clean, family environment for swimming alongside impressive sand dunes which are a haven for wildlife.

  • Sewage receives the highest standard of sewage treatment with ultra-violet disinfection
  • This bathing water is not affected by South West Water overflows
  • Bathing water quality can be affected by other factors including urban drainage.
